For CDL school owners and instructors

Your school is probably already listed on CDL Help.

We run a directory of CDL schools and a study app that shows every practice question in English next to the student’s own language. There is nothing to buy on this page. Through the end of 2026 the whole partner offer is free, because we would rather earn the relationship first.

Free practice tests on this site. All 2,500+ questions are in the app with a subscription.

What you get today

Three things, all of them live right now. Everything else on this page is labelled as not-yet.

A free listing

651 CDL schools across 13 states are listed today, and 411 of them carry the “Registered with FMCSA” badge (registry checked July 29, 2026). Listing costs you nothing and asks nothing of you — no account, no form, no paperwork.

An app your students can already use

10 languages, the English question and the student’s language on the same screen, on a phone they already own. You can point students at it today — no account with us, no paperwork, nothing for you to administer.

A person who answers

Ask what seats would cost and a person replies within 2 business days. Not a quote generator and not a sales sequence — a short answer about what we could actually do for your next class.

What we have not built yet

Other people in this category will show you a screenshot of something that does not exist. Here is ours, in plain English.

  • Student codes you can hand out at intake

In build. There is no code you can redeem today and no page to redeem it on. If you want to be in the first pilot, ask below and we will set it up by hand with you — which is exactly how it will work until it is real.

  • A school dashboard

Does not exist. No seat console, no per-student progress, no scores. When we do build a view for schools it will show counts only — how many students activated — because we do not collect your students’ personal information and do not want to.

  • A co-branded page for your school, in your students’ languages

Not built for schools yet, but the same idea already ships for library partners: see the live library edition for what a page carrying a partner’s name, with the app in their audience’s languages, looks like in practice. A school version — your name, your details — is not built. Ask below if you want to be first.

Keeping your listing accurate

Owner sign-up — claiming your listing yourself and editing it in a browser — is not open right now. The review step behind it is not built, so a claim submitted today would sit in a queue nobody works. We would rather say that than take the submission.

What to do instead

Find your school in the CDL school directory and email the page link to contact@cdlhelp.com with what is wrong or missing — hours, phone, programs, the languages your front desk speaks. A person reads it and edits the listing. If your school is not in the directory at all, email the same address and we will look at adding it. There is no charge for either.

When owner sign-up does open, this page says so first.

The invite link your students already have

Every CDL Help user has a personal invite link that looks like cdlhelp.com/r/THEIRCODE. When a classmate opens it and installs the app, that classmate gets a free week. It is how the app already travels around a classroom, and it costs your school nothing to mention.

Two things it is not. Nobody pays your students, and your students are not selling anything — the free week goes to the person who was invited. And it is a different mechanism from the school student codes described above: those are issued to a school, and they are not built yet.

10 languages, beside the English — not instead of it

A student who can drive but cannot yet read the handbook is the person this was built for. The English question stays on screen; their language sits next to it. The official exam is still in English in most states, and which languages a state offers is the state’s decision, not ours.

  • English
  • Spanish
  • Russian
  • Korean
  • Portuguese
  • Turkish
  • Ukrainian
  • Uzbek
  • Chinese
  • Arabic

“So what does this cost me later?”

Nothing this year — I’m not set up to charge for something I can’t yet prove. If a year from now I can show you that our page sent you real students, I’d want to talk about two things: a paid featured slot, and a fee per student who actually enrolled. You’d see the report and the number before either of them ever applied, and you could say no and keep the free listing. I’m telling you now so it’s never a surprise.

Request seat pricing

Tell us about your school and we will tell you what seats would look like for your next class — including if the honest answer is “not yet”. Seven short questions, two of them optional, no price on this page, nothing charged.

A rough band is fine — we never ask for a roster.

We reply within 2 business days. We use these details only to answer this request. Recipient: TruckDriver.help LLC (CDL Help). We never sell or share school data, and we never ask for your students’ personal information.

The terms, in full

  • Free through 2026. The listing, any correction we make for you and anything we set up by hand during a pilot cost nothing this year. Nothing on this page is for sale.
  • No contract, no auto-renewal. There is nothing to sign and nothing that renews, because there is nothing being billed. Walk away whenever you like and keep the free listing.
  • We never charge your students for anything on your behalf, and we never ask you for their personal information.
  • We reply within 2 business days to the form above, from contact@cdlhelp.com, and use what you send only to answer it.
  • A listing is not an endorsement. We do not rank, rate or recommend schools, and a “Featured” placement, if we ever run one, is labelled as promotional placement wherever it appears.
  • Full terms and privacy policy.

Questions school owners actually ask

What does this cost?
Nothing in 2026. The directory listing is free and there is no contract to sign. The form on this page asks what seats would cost — that is a conversation, not a checkout, and no price appears anywhere on this page because we have not set one.
What would it cost later?
We will not surprise you. If a year from now we can show you that our page sent you real students, we would want to talk about two things: a paid featured slot, and a fee per student who actually enrolled. You would see the report and the number before either one ever applied, and you could say no and keep the free listing.
Is CDL Help FMCSA-approved?
No. We are not the government, we do not inspect anybody, and we approve nothing. “Registered with FMCSA” on a directory listing means only that the provider appears in the FMCSA Training Provider Registry on the date shown. Registration there is self-certified by the provider.
Do you take my students’ data?
No. We never ask you for student names, contact details or records, and this page’s form does not have a field for them. A student who finds you through the directory contacts you directly, using your number — we do not sit in the middle of that.
Will you compete with us?
We are not a CDL school and we do not intend to become one. We make a study app. Plenty of people using it have not chosen a school yet, which is the entire reason the directory exists.
Can I see how my students are doing?
Not today, and we will not pretend otherwise. There is no school dashboard, no student progress report and no per-student view — none of that is built. When something like it ships it will be counts only (how many people activated), never names or scores, because we do not want your students’ personal information and never will.
Our students do not read English well. Does that work?
That is the reason the app exists. Every question shows the English text with the student’s language beside it, on a phone, so they practise reading the English they will actually face. The official exam is still in English in most states — which languages a state offers is the state’s decision, not ours.
What does “Owner-verified” mean on a listing?
That someone from the school told us they run it and we confirmed it by calling a number published independently of the listing. It says the page is maintained by the school. It is not a quality rating and it is not an endorsement. Owner sign-up for it is not open right now — see “Keeping your listing accurate” above.

By Al Urazalin — author and editor at CDL Help. The app has been in the App Store since November 2022. I wrote this page myself, and I am the person who answers the form on it.
