To drive commercially in Kentucky, you'll need a Class A or Class B CDL — which means completing FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT): classroom theory plus behind-the-wheel range and road training, then passing a skills test in a real truck. Ask Gateway Community and Technical College which classes and endorsements (HazMat, Tanker, Passenger) they offer and how long the program takes.
