About CDL Help

CDL Help helps people prepare for the United States commercial driver's license (CDL) knowledge exams. We build practice tests, study guides, and a school directory — on this website and in the CDL Help app for iOS and Android — in English and nine other languages: Spanish, Russian, Korean, Portuguese, Turkish, Ukrainian, Uzbek, Chinese, and Arabic.

Who we are

CDL Help is operated by TruckDriver.help LLC, a US company. The CDL Help app launched on the App Store in November 2022, and the platform has grown around one idea: drivers should be able to study for the CDL permit exam in the language they actually think in, with questions grounded in the official study materials.

What we publish is written and reviewed by named people, not anonymous contributors — see Al Urazalin, who maintains our practice-test methodology and editorial standards.

How we work

Our practice questions are written from the official state CDL manuals and the federal regulations behind them, and our sourcing, review, and correction rules are public:
