How school listings work on CDL Help

Where the listings come from, what the badges mean, how the order is set, and how a school manages its page.

Where listings come from

The directory lists CDL schools from public sources. A school can claim its listing for free and manage it. Until then, the listing shows the public facts and nothing else.

CDL Help is not a school. To join classes, call or visit the school.

What the badges mean

  • Managed by the school. Someone who works at the school proved it and manages the page. The school writes the tagline, highlights, programs and photos.
  • Registered with FMCSA. The school appears in the federal Training Provider Registry. We show the badge only when the match is certain. No badge does not mean the school is not registered.

How the order is set

On the default "Top-rated schools" order, schools that manage their listing appear first. Then the order follows three things any school can earn: FMCSA registration, the Google rating and review count, and how complete the listing is. "Highest rated" and "Most reviewed" ignore whether a listing is managed. No school can pay for a higher place.

What our team reviews

The facts students rely on get a human check before they show: name, address, phone, website, descriptions, prices, financing and job placement claims. See What our team reviews.

Mistakes and disputes

If a listing is wrong, write to us. We correct it and note the change on the page.
