What to check: Present, properly charged (gauge in the green) and rated, and securely mounted.

What to check: Three red reflective triangles present, not broken, secured (alternative: six fusees or three liquid-burning flares).

Spare electrical fuses / circuit breakers
What to check: Spare fuses present; if the vehicle uses circuit breakers instead, say so and identify them.

Fusees or liquid-burning flares (alternative to triangles)
What to check: Six fusees or three liquid-burning flares may substitute for the three triangles.
